About
DATA HIT Tools is a suite of in-browser visualisations across two analytical pillars: Traffic (Seasonal Spiral and Timing Grid, against your GA4 and Search Console) and Discovery (SERP Seasonality Map and AI Mention Monitor, against Google and AI search). Built by the DATA HIT consultancy as the public, self-serve adjunct to our client work.
A focused set of visualisation tools that reveal patterns a line chart cannot show: weekly rhythms, seasonal cycles, year-on-year drift, SERP composition shifts, AI citation patterns. Each tool runs entirely in your browser. Connect Google Analytics 4 or Search Console with read-only OAuth, paste a SERP query, or stick with the sample data already loaded. Your raw data never touches our servers.
Analytics dashboards default to time-series line charts. Line charts are good at showing absolute change, bad at showing pattern. Search and AI competitive data is even worse served: most tools either bury it in spreadsheets or hide it behind paywalls. The DATA HIT suite organises four visualisations into two analytical pillars.
Traffic pillar · What's happening on your site, against your own GA4 and Search Console:
Discovery pillar · What's happening in your space, against Google and AI search:
The deliberate omission is more dashboards. DATA HIT Tools sits beside Semrush, Ahrefs, and Looker Studio. We are the pattern layer your dashboards skip, not a replacement for them.
DATA HIT is a UK-based analytics and SEO consultancy. The tools at tools.datahit.co are the self-serve adjunct to client work we do at datahit.co. We built these because they were the visualisations we kept wanting and could not find. Building them in public is faster than asking other people to build them for us.
All three free tools run client-side. The OAuth handshake routes through Google directly; the access token returned is held in browser memory for that session only. Chart computation, colour scaling, and rendering happen in your browser. There is no DATA HIT server in the data path for the free tier.
The Pro tier (paid, optional) stores a small set of derived artefacts on our servers so we can email you weekly digests and persist annotations: tracked-keyword rank snapshots, saved view configurations, and pinned annotations. Raw analytics data is still never stored. See Privacy policy for the full mapping.
